Fibromyalgia Treatment

December 22, 2008

Fibromyalgia Treatment varies from person to person, but incorporates medication, natural, and exercise.  Because the symptoms of fibromyalgia are not always expressed the same way in each person, the treatment for fibromyalgia may change depending on the set of symptoms being expressed. Some people require more medication and others who suffer from acute chronic fatigue may opt for a more natural approach along with exercise.  Whatever method of fibromyalgia treatment, make sure that a doctor familiar with fibromyalgia is consulted.

Fibromyalgia Misconceptions

December 17, 2008

Many people have misconceptions about fibromyalgia. Some people think that fibromyalgia is psychological.  In some ways this isn’t a complete misconception, but no fibromyalgia is not only in our heads, rather it is a very real muscular skelatal ailment that can be excacerbated by a depressive attitude.  At the least firomyalgia is a set of serious symptomatic responses and at the most it is a chronic disease that never truly goes away.

Fibromyalgia and Faith

December 15, 2008

I believe much of fibromyalgia treatment is depended on a degree of  faith.  How else do I get through the tough times.  I sit and pray.  I pray for an end to my suffering and an end to my despair.  On the good days I thank the Creator for my reprieve while yearning for more pain free days.

Fibromyalgia Symptoms

December 11, 2008

Fibromyalgia symptoms are no necessarily unique to fibromyalgia, rather the combination of fibromyalgia symptoms in many ways denotes and singles out fibromyalgia from other disorders. Fibromyalgia symptoms include: chronic fatigue, sleeplessness, and acute shooting pain throughout the muscular-skeletal system.

Fibromyalgia Determination

December 9, 2008

One of the most part of treating and recovering from fibromyalgia is the patient’s own self determination. Doctors can do a lot, but fibromyalgia is one of those diseases that requires a lot of patient determination and self focus. Essentially if you can’t step up to the plate, don’t expect the doctor to do your recovery for you.

Fibromyalgia has become my personal test of faith and determination.  I have realized that everyone has been given a certain personal test in life.  Some appear harder to others, yet we all face our own mountains. Mine is fibromyalgia and although it is frustrating, I know I will make it through if I keep joyful and live with clarity.

Fibromyalgia Symptoms are many and can vary from person to person.  Despite their subjective nature, there are many shared fibromyalgia symptoms.  They include: chronic fatigue, shooting pain in the musculoskeletal system, and sleeplessness.  Of course there is a degree of depression involved as well.

Fibromyalgia Research

December 2, 2008

Fibromyalgia is increasingly getting more and more coverage.  More money has been put into research as of late and there is promising results.  For example there is a lot of research suggesting a strong relationship between the central nervous system condition known as cervical spinal cord compression and fibromyalgia.  For an expanded discussion go here.

Fibromyalgia: No Pain No Gain

November 27, 2008

I often catch myslef thinking that my fibromyalgia is just some long drawn out test.  A war of nerves if you will.  It’s almost as if I am training for some huge marathon and right now it is some exercise in sheer stamina.  Of course this is just wishful thinking since at the end of the day this is not training, because training ends, Fibromyalgia doesn’t.

It sounds like a pretty dismal title, but this is sometime how I feel about my fibromyalgia. I have tried many things and must say that mental preparedness is the most important factor in fibromyalgia treatment. The more one yearns and keeps their spirits hight the more this translates into feeling better.
